On July 14^th, 2023, Focuslight Dongguan Base successfully completed the one-week IATF16949 on-site audit conducted by the certification body TüV SüD. The ISO9001 certification update was also passed along with the audit. According to the requirements of IATF process, the relevant registration certificate will be issued following TüV SüD headquarters' approval, and the official certificate is anticipated to be released in three months.

IATF 16949 is a global quality management system standard for the automotive industry that incorporates ISO 9001 with additional automotive requirements. The first edition was published by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in 1999, aiming to coordinate different assessment and certification systems in the global automotive industry supply chain. It is the basic requirement for the supplier quality system in the modern auto parts supply chain.

IATF is not a new word to Focuslight. To adapt to the rapid development of the automotive market, Focuslight established the Automotive Business Unit in 2019 and obtained IATF 16949 certification by TüV SüD on July 24, 2020 (IATF registration number: 0369819). Subsequently, the Laser Optics Business Unit undertook the Automotive Business Unit's optical components orders. In accordance with the IATF16949 quality system management requirements, the Laser Optics Business Unit completed the production part approval process (PPAP) of these products and started mass production in August 2020, providing a stable and long-term supply since then. In July 2023, Focuslight Dongguan Base accepted the certification audit conducted by TüV SüD in accordance with the IATF16949 quality management system.

The certification was assessed and audited by the TüV SüD IATF team at Focuslight Dongguan Base. Thanks to the supervision and management of the headquarters' quality management system and years of experience in mass production, Focuslight Dongguan Base successfully passed the audit. As a result, Focuslight's capability to supply micro-optical products to customers in the automotive industry is significantly strengthened.
